A Broad Access Action is an action that occurs as a part of EMR usage but is not associated with care. These actions are generally single events, or a few events, that organizations may not want to totally exclude from search results.
Organizations can choose to exclude these actions using the explanation (Only Broad Access Action) in the Explanation Exclude field on Search options.
Note: An access is only marked as “Broad” if ALL accesses from the employee to a patient on that day are categorized as Broad actions. If any other actions occur on the day, the explanation does not apply.
The list of Broad Access Actions can be customized for your organization. If you would like to implement this feature, please submit a support ticket.
